The design of this 40 unit apartment complex for the elderly takes advantage of the secluded, wooded site by incorporating the building into the adjacent hillside. Heated walkways are heavily landscaped and traverse the site to provide opportunities for the residents to get outside as much as possible throughout the year.

Natural cedar offset against man-made materials allows for a low maintenance exterior. Cedar trellis canopies extend into the building and focus the view outward. A large patio area extends the common gathering area to the exterior. This was an Excellence in Senior Housing award winner from the National Association of Home Builders.
